Southland Casino offers free dealer classes beginning this month

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Looking for a new career?

Southland Casino Racing is now offering a free dealer school for selected students this spring.

Classes will take place for ten weeks, according to a release from Southland.

Classes will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning April 26.

Applicants must be 21 years of age.

Applicants must be a high school graduate or possess a GED, the release said.

You can complete an application at Southland Casino Racing’s Human Resources department between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. M-F, or you can fill out an application online.

Dealer school will include Blackjack, Carnival Games and Craps, the release said.

Applicants must be received online by April 21.

Spaces are limited.

Successful completion of classes can lead to a new career at Southland.

If hired, applicants can earn up to $1,000 per week and receive a $500 bonus after 30 days.

An additional bonus of $1,000 is available after 120 days of continuous employment.
