Thunderstorms exiting Mid-South as warnings expire

MID-SOUTH — FOX13 Meteorologists have been tracking the weather to be able to give you the most up-to-date information as possible severe weather moves in.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been canceled.

  • Make sure to have the umbrella and be weather alert today.
  • While it’s calm across the Mid-South now, scattered storms are expected later this afternoon.

PHOTOS: Tornado touches down near Tupelo Sunday night causing damage across parts of Mississippi

  • Temperatures this afternoon will rise to the upper 70s.
  • Rain chance: 60%.
  • Strong to severe storms expected after 12 p.m. through the early evening bringing the threat of damaging wind gusts. Hail and an isolated tornado will be a secondary lower threat.
  • Winds: 10/15 mph.
