MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County Schools expect 32 percent of students to return to in-person learning.

SCS previously presented a phase plan to return to in-person learning start in January.

The district set up an online survey to get feedback from the parents.

Survey results showed:

  • Approximately 32% of SCS students are expected to return in-person (25% opted to return; 7% defaulted).
  • Approximately 83% of teachers in SCS direct-run schools will remain virtual while 17% of our teachers will be returning to in-person instruction.

SCS said they are making sure that all students receive learning support regardless of how the student is learning.
