Last Monday, deputies said a man shot two women inside a black Chevy Impala off Belmont Run Cove around 3 a.m.

One woman was able to escape from the car, while the other was stuck inside with the shooter.

Detectives later found the car abandoned off Lake Valley Drive with the second victim dead inside.

Both victims were shot multiple times, and detectives said at least six shots were fired.

Telephone records from cell phones recovered from the scene led detectives to believe the victims were in the area to pick up the suspect up

Walker was on probation for kidnapping.

He has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, Theft of Property and Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.

A criminal background check shows Walker has been charged with aggravated rape and kidnapping multiple times since 2004.

Walker was arrested for domestic assault causing bodily harm in August 2015.

Those charges were dismissed because of quote “lack of prosecution.”

According to the report, Walker didn’t spend any time in jail and didn’t pay any fines.

A few months later in October 2015, Walker was arrested for aggravated rape, sex assault, aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping in October of 2015.

And again, those charges were dismissed because of a lack of prosecution.

Before last month’s double homicide, Walker was arrested for aggravated robbery, aggravated rape and especially aggravated kidnapping in December of 2015.

Darrin Walker is expected to appear in court for a video arraignment Thursday morning at 9:00.
