Two suspects caught after leading police on high-speed chase, officials say

MISSISSIPPI — Two suspects have been captured after leading police on a high-speed chase, officials said.

One suspect was caught in a cornfield, the sheriff said.

Both will be taken to Fayette County Jail.

According to the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department, two black males committed an armed robbery at a Corinth, Miss. gas station.

After the robbery, they noticed a car and pursued it into Marshall and Fayette County.

To catch the car, they placed spikes on Highway 72 near Amazon MEM2.

The car then flipped over into a cornfield where the suspects got away.

Collierville police, Alcorn County Sheriff, Marshall Sheriff, and Fayette Sheriff are assisting in the investigation.

The second suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
