Investigators search NC pond for 15-month-old TN girl at center of Amber Alert

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ten. — A search was underway Wednesday in Wilkes County, North Carolina for a 15-month-old Tennessee girl who is the subject of an Amber Alert.

Firefighters from Catawba County were helping with the search.

Investigators said Evelyn Mae Boswell from Sullivan County, Tennessee was last seen Dec. 26, 2019 but was not reported missing until Feb. 18.

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has charged Megan Boswell with False Reporting.

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-month-old girl from Sullivan County.

Evelyn Mae Boswell was listed as a missing child on Tuesday, but she reportedly hasn’t been seen since December 26, TBI said.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation believed individuals traveling in a gray 2007 BMW with TN tag 3M9-6W9 have information regarding Evelyn Boswell’s whereabouts.

Friday TBI shared that the vehicle was located in Wilkes County, North Carolina, along with those individuals.

TBI said she was last seen wearing a pink tracksuit, pink shoes and a pink bow. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
