Three dead in murder-suicide in Arkansas, police say

MARION, Ark. — A little boy was killed in what police are calling a double-murder suicide.

The shooting happened in Marion, Arkansas around 9:30 Tuesday morning.

Officers found Gabriel Brown, Nakina Gilmer-Brown, and a child dead when they entered a home in the 800 block of Blvd. St. Germaine.

According to police, the father came home, killed the 5-year old boy and the boy’s mother, then turned the gun on himself.

Family members said they can’t believe something like this happened.

“Devastating News. It’s not something we can fathom. Still trying to wrap our heads around it. We just don’t understand why,” the boy’s uncle Charles Gilmer told FOX13.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
