WATCH: Three U of M student-athletes, 1 staff member test positive for COVID-19

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three student-athletes and one athletic department staff member have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, University of Memphis Athletics announced Thursday.

According to a news release, the student-athletes and staff member have been placed in isolation, and medical staff are conducting contact-tracing activities.

Their names will not be released and the impacted sports will not be identified, due to privacy concerns.

Memphis Basketball tweeted Wednesday that as student-athletes arrive on campus they are being tested for the virus, but the University will not comment on which sports are currently impacted by COVID-19.
