U.S. — Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is leading a joint letter with other Republican governors urging the Biden Administration to take action at America’s southern border with Mexico.
In a tweet, Lee said “the crisis at our border is too big to ignore.”
The tweet includes a copy of the letter, which states the border is “neither closed nor secure.”
The letter cites a “staggering” number of recent crossings, including that of nearly 19,000 unaccompanied children.
The crisis at our border is too big to ignore, and it's spilling into ALL of our states. I have led a joint letter with fellow Republican governors urging the Biden Administration to take immediate action at America's southern border. pic.twitter.com/9Igedxj9qr

The letter further blames the border crisis on “reckless federal policy reversals” executed within the first 100 days of President Biden taking office.
Twenty governors have signed the letter, including Lee.
