President Trump has been active on Twitter in recent days taking aim at elected Georgia leaders. Sunday morning, he took aim at Georgia’s Secretary of State, saying Brad Raffensperger “has no clue!” on what the president says is election fraud in Fulton County and the state.
Raffensperger fired back at the president on Twitter late Sunday morning.
Mr. Trump continued attacks against top Georgia Republicans, including Governor Brian Kemp and Lieutenant Gov. Geoff Duncan, both of whom he says have “done less than nothing” and “a disgrace to the great people of Georgia.”
The president also questioned on Twitter why Georgia Republican senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler haven’t voiced whether they are on board with a growing GOP effort to object to the Jan. 6 certification of the presidential election results.
President Trump Sunday retweeted a post that said, “Why are my own #GA Senators @KLoeffler & @Perduesenate not supporting this effort?”
Mr. Trump’s tweets come ahead of his scheduled trip to Georgia Monday night to campaign in Dalton for Sens. Perdue and Loeffler on the eve of runoff election day.
