MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two children have been arrested for the murder of another child during a funeral procession in the Hyde Park neighborhood on Saturday.
According to the Memphis Police Department, two juveniles were arrested on Tuesday for the shooting.
That shooting left 16-year-old Emmit Beasley dead and sent another 16-year-old to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
The bullets flew during a funeral procession on Hunter Ave., Beasley’s mother told FOX13.
According to his family, Beasley was a student at Southwind, worked at Wendy’s and was an aspiring rapper.
Both of the juveniles arrested in his shooting death have been charged with first-degree murder, according to MPD.
Police said the two children have been taken to Juvenile Court.
