Two Memphis Police officers hurt in crash, department says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two Memphis Police officers were taken to the hospital after a crash Monday evening, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

MPD said a squad car was involved in a crash near Summer Avenue and Graham around 5 p.m.

When FOX13 arrived at the scene, an SUV could be seen crashed into the side of a Memphis Police car in the alley next to Grahamwood Cleaners.

MPD said both officers suffered non-critical injuries.

One person was detained following the crash and police said they are investigating what led to the wreck.
