Two Midtown bars to require proof of vaccination to enter

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two Midtown bars have announced they will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter.

DRUS Place and the Pumping Station both announced the requirement on their Facebook pages Thursday.

“After a great deal of thought and input from the community, we feel this decision will provide the best protection for everyone who enters the bar. Effective August 12, 2021, DRUS will require proof of vaccination to enter,” the post said.

DRUS said unvaccinated customers could also provide proof of a negative COVID test within 48 hours of arrival.

Masks are not required inside either bar, but they were encouraged in a post by The Pumping Station.
