Two people killed after men walk into gas station and start shooting, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men are dead after gunfire rang inside of a Memphis gas station Thursday night, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Memphis Police said the shooting happened at a Citgo on Knight Arnold Rd. around 8:45 p.m. when two men walked into the gas station and opened fire.

When the bullets stopped flying, one man was dead at the scene. The second man was rushed to Regional One Hospital where he too was pronounced deceased, police said.

Memphis Police said that both men who were killed were inside of the gas station when the gunmen got out of a silver Cadillac SRX, walked inside and began shooting.

The car the gunmen were driving has license plates that read TN 4TG162, police said.

Those gunmen then ran from the gas station, hopped back in the silver Cadillac and sped off northbound on Hickory Hill, according to police.
