Two shootings in same Memphis neighborhood leave one injured, one dead, MPD says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two shootings in the same Memphis neighborhood left one person injured and one dead, MPD said.

According to the police, they responded to a shooing call on Lounette Street. They found the man with a gunshot wound lying dead in the middle of the street.

He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

There was no suspect information.

On Armistead and Southwall, 0.2 miles away from the first scene, police found another victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.

There was also no suspect information in this shooting.

It is unclear if the shootings are connected.
