Two shot after drive-by shooting in Memphis neighborhood, police say

Memphis, Tenn. — Gunfire in a Memphis neighborhood sent two people to the hospital Sunday night, according to police.

Memphis Police said two people were found shot at the intersection of Mt. Olive Rd and Sydney St. in the Douglas neighborhood around 8:10 p.m.

MPD said that this was a drive-by shooting and that multiple shots were fired.

One person suffered life-threatening injuries and the other was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition, police said.

The shooter or shooters may have left the scene in a white Kia Sorento, according to police.
