U.S. Marshals arrest man for Orange Mound shooting death

Memphis, Tenn. — The U.S. Marshals have made an arrest, 3 days after a man was found shot to death inside an Orange Mound home.

The Marshals Office said that Nicholas Anderson was arrested for the murder of Javarie Mays.

Memphis Police discovered Mays dead in a house on Railton Road on Monday police said.

The U.S. Marshals said Anderson was identified as the shooter later the same day.

He was arrested in Indianola, Mississippi, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Anderson faces one count of first-degree murder and one count of especially aggravated kidnapping.
