US Marshals capture man in deadly October DUI crash

MEMPHIS,Tenn. — Federal authorities have captured a Tennessee man who they say is responsible for a fatal car crash that happened in October.

David Foster, 51, was charged Friday in connection to the death of Betty Ferrell.

On Oct. 3rd, 2020, Foster was driving while intoxicated on Highway 64 when he swerved into the westbound lanes, striking Ferrell with his truck, according to a police affidavit.

Police said Ferrell was transported to the hospital in non-critical condition, but unfortunately, she died a day later from the injuries.

On Nov.13, officials issued a warrant for Foster’s arrest.

Investigators found him at a home in the 2600 block of Misty Point Cove Cordova.

According to court records, Foster is charged with Vehicular Homicide, Reckless Driving and Driving Under the Influence.
