U.S. Marshals seeking man wanted for murder, considered armed and dangerous

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The U.S. Marshals announced Tuesday they are searching for a man wanted in connection with shooting a woman to death on Oct. 6.

Timmie Cooperwood is wanted for first-degree murder after killing Shaneka Harvell in the 2000 block of Prospect St., a release stated.

On Oct. 9, a warrant was issued by Shelby County for Cooperwood.

Harvell is allegedly the mother of Cooperwood’s children, the release said.

Cooperwood is considered armed and dangerous.

He also has warrants for aggravated stalking, two counts of a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.
