Whataburger submits permit for possible new restaurant in Cordova

CORDOVA, Tenn. — Could the Mid-South be set for another new Whataburger?

A business permit pulled with Whataburger’s name on it shows the company is looking to expand into Cordova.

The permit was pulled back in July 2020.

The potential Whataburger would be on Germantown Parkway and Macon Road, where the closed O’Charley’s is located.

Last year, after rumors of a new Memphis Whataburger spread through the city, the company told FOX13 that they were considering expanding into Tennessee.

Earlier this month, FOX13 reported Whataburger is coming to Southaven on Goodman Road and Airways.

Whataburger is tearing down the old TGI Fridays location on Goodman to build the new restaurant.

Construction should be complete by the end of the year.

FOX13 reached out to Whataburger for a statement.
