According to the cashier for the store, 29-year-old Justina Bell threw three large rocks inside of the store, shattering glass and destroying merchandise in the process.

The cashier told police that Bell almost hit a customer with a rock.

The security guard for the Peabody Hotel, a former Memphis police lieutenant, made a private citizen arrest and called MPD to come and get Bell, according to a police affidavit.

The owner of the Lansky Store inside of the Peabody Hotel estimated the damage done by Bell to be $2,000, police said.

Memphis police said that Bell has also been connected to multiple vandalism in the downtown Memphis area on Tuesday.

Bell has been charged with vandalism between $1,000 and $2,500 and disorderly conduct.
