Young Dolph murder suspect appears in federal court, new charge added

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One of the wanted men from the Young Dolph murder made an appearance in a federal court.

A U.S. Marshal brought Justin Johnson before a federal judge on Thursday, Jan. 20.

Originally, Johnson was charged with first-degree murder, theft of property $10,000-$60,000, employing a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and unlawful possession of a weapon at the state level, but now FOX13 has learned he was wanted for a federal charge- Violation of Federal Supervised Release.

The judge ruled that Johnson return to the custody of the U.S. Marshalls for the duration of the legal proceedings.

Johnson was arrested on Jan. 11 in Brazil, Indiana.
