As FOX13′s beloved anchor and coworker Mearl Purvis inches closer to retirement, she was honored Wednesday with a very special gift.
City of Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland gave her a special proclamation Wednesday afternoon, making July 27, 2022, "Mearl Purvis Day" in the city of Memphis.
Mearl Purvis will anchor her final newscasts on Friday, July 29, 2022, after 18 years with FOX13 News.
