Memphis firefighter injured fighting flames

A Memphis firefighter is recovering after being injured while responding to a vacant house fire in Walker Homes Sunday.

MFD said they responded to the fire in the 3500 block of Daggett Road around 12:20 p.m., where it took first responders about 20 minutes to put the flames out.

One firefighter was transported to Regional One in non-critical condition with second-degree burns to his face, neck and hand.

The cause of the fire has not been determined yet.
