A Memphis man was killed in a crash in DeSoto County Thursday night.
Sheriff’s Bill Rasco told FOX13 the victim’s car had broken down on the side of the road. He was standing out in front of the car when another vehicle hit him from behind.

The victim was thrown into a ditch and died from him injuries.
The victim has been identified as Jeffrey (Scotty) Garner II, according to the coroner. The 25-year-old was from Memphis.
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar View and Highway 305.
The sheriff said no charges have been filed in the case at this time.
