The charges allegedly stem from a shooting in February involving another Memphis rapper, Young Dolph. Young Dolph was riding to his concert when more than 100 rounds were fired into his vehicle, TMZ said. No one was injured in the incident.

This year's incident wasn't the first involving the rappers. In 2016, a van carrying some of Young Dolph's crew members – including his manager who is from Memphis – was shot up in downtown Charlotte after a concert. Three men were arrested in relation to the shooting, and two of them were from Memphis.

A video was released a few days later on Blac Youngsta’s Instagram.  In the video, Young Dolph was called out by name as the men displayed guns.

Sources told FOX13 the video may have been connected to the 2016 incident. Blac Youngsta was not charged in that case.

FOX13 is currently working to learn more about Blac Youngsta’s recent arrest. We will update this story with additional information as it becomes available.
