Fourth suspect identified in officer-involved shooting in Tunica, officials say

TUNICA, Miss. — A fourth suspect has been identified after an officer-involved shooting in Tunica, Mississippi, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Jimmy Dotson was identified as the driver of the the grey Toyota Camry that surveillance video captured suspects arriving and leaving the scene in, officials said.

According to TCSO, Dotson is wanted for accessory after the fact.

Tuesday morning, two other suspects were captured in Minnesota. And a third was arrested in Tunica County, according to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened January 26 when a Tunica Police Officer was on Delta Street on a routine patrol, en route to Valero, and heard gunshots, according to a release.

That officer saw two individuals running towards his unit and one was armed, the release said. The officer shot the armed individual who was later treated and taken to Baptist DeSoto Medical center, according to release.

According to the release, when the officer arrived at Valero he found one person who had been shot several times, 21-year-old Tyronne Williams.

Williams was treated on the scene and later transported to Regional One, according to officials.
