Family Dollar Robbery Suspect

Memphis Police said this man fired shots at a Family Dollar employee after robbing a store on South Highland Street. 

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - When a store employee confronted two men stealing merchandise, one of them fired shots in response, police said.

In the afternoon on March 26 at the Family Dollar at 6586 South Highland, police responded to a call about an aggravated assault.

The employee told investigations that he followed the robbers outside the store.

As the pair left in a car, the driver fired bullets in his direction, missing him but striking the store.

He reported the car as a Kia Sportage with the TN tag number 313BJCZ.
