DENVER — A wild swing in temperature saw sunny skies turn to snow when the mercury dropped from 83 to 19 degrees Wednesday prompted by strong winds off the Rocky Mountains.
The Mile High City experienced the record temperature shift as a cold front with wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph blew through, blanketing some areas with as much as a foot of snow, KMGH reported.
The snowy conditions are not expected to last. The highs over the weekend are expected to be in the 60s, according to the National Weather Service.
