3 killed, 1 seriously injured in Chicago hit-and-run crash, police say

CHICAGO — Three men died and another was injured during a hit-and-run crash on the south side of Chicago early Sunday, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 5 a.m. CDT in the Jackson Park Highlands neighborhood of the city, WLS-TV reported.

A sedan traveling southbound struck the four men, who were walking through the neighborhood, according to WMAQ-TV.

Three victims were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, police told WGN-TV. Another man was transported to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the television station.

His condition was unknown.

There have been no arrests and no one is in custody, according to the Chicago Police Department. An investigation is ongoing.
