ESTES PARK, Colo. — Three employees were injured Saturday morning in an explosion at a Colorado distillery, investigators said.
A blast was reported at around 9 a.m. at the Elkins Distilling Co., KCNC reported.
“The back ceiling came down, making it dicey as far as getting people in to fight the fire,” Michael Richardson, Estes Valley Fire Protection District spokesperson, told the Estes Park Trail Gazette. “We made a search to make sure no other people were inside and we put the fire out. The rear of the building is compromised.”
Three employees were injured and two of them were taken to a hospital, fire officials said. Their conditions are unknown.
The cause of the explosion is unclear.
