TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida authorities intercepted 30 pounds of marijuana being smuggled into Tallahassee aboard a commercial flight.
Brailon Miles, 24, was taken into custody on marijuana trafficking charges Monday as he deboarded a flight at Tallahassee International Airport, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
Miles reportedly checked two bags for the flight on which a Leon County Sheriff’s Office K-9 was able to smell the marijuana “during an open-air sniff,” WCTV reported.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, Miles, who was en route from California, was a suspect in a previous drug-trafficking investigation in another state, the TV station reported.
Investigators were tipped off that Miles would be arriving with two checked bags loaded with marijuana, the Democrat reported.
