WICHITA, Kan. — A Kansas woman is facing multiple charges related to an early-morning crash on Sunday that killed her 5-year-old daughter.
Nory Lam, 26, was arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence and transporting an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the rollover crash that killed 5-year-old Aleah Reyes, KWCH reported.
According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, the single-vehicle crash occurred at around 3:15 a.m. in a rural area of southeast Wichita, KSN-TV reported.
A sheriff’s deputy at the crash scene confirmed to KWCH that the driver, since identified as Lam, left the roadway and struck a concrete culvert.
