Louisiana school lunch lady accused of serving up alcohol, porn, sex during sleepovers

TERREBONNE PARISH, La. — A former school cafeteria worker at a Louisiana middle school is accused of hosting sleepovers for juvenile boys, where they watched pornography, drank alcohol and participated in sexual encounters, authorities said.

Dawn Marie Baye, 38, of Chauvin, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and eight counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, KLFY reported.

The boys were between the ages of 13 and 16, according to the Terrebone Parish Sheriff’s Office, the television station reported.

Terrebonne Parish School District Superintendent Philip Martin confirmed that Baye is no longer an employee of the district, The Times of Houma/Thibodaux reported.

According to Sheriff Tim Soignet, on April 21 authorities received a complaint from a parent of one of the juveniles involved, WVUE reported.

Authorities said Baye met the juveniles at the cafeteria at Lacache Middle School in Chauvin where she worked, WVLA reported. The sheriff’s office said Baye hosted several sleepovers at her home, the television station reported. Detectives later learned about several sexual encounters and instances where the juveniles consumed alcohol and viewed pornographic videos,

After conducting several interviews, detectives said the information they received was consistent with items shared on social media, KLFY reported.

Detectives interviewed Baye on April 30 and later arrested her, WVUE reported. She was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex and her bail was set at $50,000, according to the television station.
