A reckless driver was apprehended in the parking lot of a Walmart in Kilgore, Texas, on Thursday, according to Kilgore Police Department. Except this reckless driver was furry and had four paws.

“One of the victims saw the suspect barrelling down on him but couldn’t get out of the way. He was shocked to see the driver was a dog! Yep, the pooch was actually behind the wheel when the crash occurred,” said KPD.

KPD said that the dog was left unattended in the truck while the owners were shopping, according to WCAV.

No one was hurt in the crash but apparently, the dog got a little antsy, according to KPD. Police said that the car’s steering column had some prior damage to it and that the dog must have placed the truck in drive.

According to WCAV, KPD believes that the dog’s leash had released the emergency brake.

“It doesn’t sound feasible but an eyewitness saw the pooch behind the wheel just before the crash. He certainly has a guilty look on his face,” KPD said.
