It’s bad enough when you drop an egg on the floor; imagine the cleanup after a quarter of a million eggs were spilled on a highway in Texas on Monday morning.
A tractor-trailer that was hauling a trailer full of eggs crashed through a guardrail and slammed into a bridge support, KDFW reported.
The crash ripped the trailer apart and spilled about 35,000 pounds of eggs across the road.

Workers “scrambled” to reroute traffic from the interstate, as crews not only had to clean up the sticky mess, but they also were afraid of a possible fuel leak from the truck, KTVT reported.
The crash happened before dawn and the road was still closed well into the afternoon as workers continue to scrape up the road-sized omelet, KXAS reported.
