Get ready to jump back into the fountain — the “Friends” reunion is almost here.
HBO Max has announced the date it will premiere and all of the stars who will “be there for you.” The streaming network also released a teaser trailer for the show.
Mark the calendar for May 27.
The main cast will be part of “Friends: The Reunion.”
That means Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schiwmmer will be getting together to talk about their time spent at Central Perk and the two iconic apartments that were their home for 10 seasons until it went off the air in 2004, but lived on in syndication.
It now is being streamed on HBO Max, which is paying $425 million for the next five years, CNN reported. It had been streamed on Netflix.
The show was supposed to premiere last year but was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, CNN reported.
Entertainment Weekly reported they will be joined by a group of A-list celebrities, some of whom were guest stars on the show, including:
- Lady Gaga
- David Beckham
- Justin Bieber
- James Corden
- Cindy Crawford
- Cara Delevingne
- Elliot Gould
- Kit Harington
- Larry Hankin
- Mindy Kaling
- Thomas Lennon
- Christina Pickles
- Tom Selleck
- James Michael Tyler
- Maggie Wheeler
- Reese Witherspoon
- Malala Yousafzai
The reunion was shot on the same soundstage where the original comedy was filmed, Stage 24 at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank.
But the reunion is not the only big event for “Friends” fans.
The central point of the show was the two-bedroom apartment where Monica and Rachel lived.
The location is in the “Friends” Experience in New York City, which opened in March.
Lucky fans can book an overnight stay that comes with a tour with a photographer, a scavenger hunt, dinner and drinks, and a foosball game in a recreated version of Joey and Chandler’s place.
