• Vandals caught on camera trashing store

    A video is making its rounds on Facebook showing two women trashing a store off Lamar. The video has been shared thousands of times.  

    Police were called to the Lamar Corner Grocery on the 1200 block of Lamar on Saturday.

    The clerk told police two women entered the store and attempted to buy tobacco products. 

    According to the report, the victim recognized one of the suspects, and knew she was underage. He refused to serve them. The video shows the two going on a rampage. Items are scattered across the floor, shelves have been knocked to the ground, and the front door is hanging off its hinges. The employee tried to lock the women inside, but someone else entered the store.

    While the women were leaving, they shattered the front and rear windshields on the victim’s white Mustang with what appeared to be some sort of metal pipe.

    They then hopped inside a car, the clerk throws a metal container, breaking the drivers side window. 

    They fled the scene in a Dodge Stratus. Police said no one is in custody, and this is an ongoing investigation.
