Alleged teen homicide suspect arrested in Memphis, officials say

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. — UPDATE: 5/23/2020 6:15 a.m.:

Curry Jr. was arrested in Memphis late Friday night with the work of Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department Detectives, the U.S. Marshals and the ATF Task Force.

The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department has issued a warrant for First-Degree Murder for a West Memphis, Ark. teenager.

According to a Facebook post by the CCSD, warrants were signed this morning for Kevin Curry, Jr., 18.

Curry is wanted for the shooting death of Jimmy Tanner that happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Curry is a fugitive out of Memphis and wanted for three counts of Aggravated Robbery, among other crimes, according to the Facebook post.

Curry should be considered armed and dangerous.
