Arkansas school district releases guidelines for students’ return to classes

WYNNE, Ark. — Wynne Public Schools in Wynne, Ark. has released information and guidelines for students’ return to school this Fall.

School will begin on August 13, according to officials.

The school district recommends anyone aged 10 and up wear a face mask, particularly on school buses.

The district will provide cloth face masks for each student, or the student can bring their own, according to officials.

No visitors will be allowed in the schools except for the reception area.

Parents will not be allowed to each with children, and large gatherings will be discontinued.

According to officials, students will still transfer between classrooms, and classrooms will be sanitized before each new group of students enters.

Elementary students will have outdoor recess with social distance restrictions in place.

Classrooms will be set up and arranged differently to allow for social distancing.

Students who enroll in full-time virtual learning can still participate in extracurricular activities, according to officials.

Cafeteria capacity will be limited and schedules will be adjusted.

Parents are encouraged to send a water bottle with their student.

If schools closed again, there is a plan in place for at-home digital learning, according to officials.
