MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Kroger Health has announced the launch of rapid antibody testing for COVID-19 at its pharmacy locations.
Antibody tests let a patient know if they have previously been infected with the virus.
Most results are confirmed within 15 minutes, according to a release from Kroger.
The organization is the first U.S. retailer to offer rapid antibody testing to customers, according to the release.
The FDA-authorized rapid antibody tests are conducted using a finger-prick blood sample.
Tests are available in all Kroger stores across the Mid-South, according to the release.
Customers can expect to pay $25 to be tested.
Individuals who believe they may have previously been infected with COVID-19 and are not currently experiencing symptoms are eligible to be tested.
