Firefighters battle house fire in Wynne, Arkansas

WYNNE, Ark. — Firefighters in Wynne, Ark. battled a blaze at a home this week.

Around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters from the Wynne Fire Department responded to a house fire in Vanndale.

Firefighters found heavy fire in one end of the house with fire coming through the roof, according to WFD.

Heavy winds resulted in a high-speed wind-driven fire, which caused total loss of the home.

WFD requested Cherry Valley Fire for manpower and a water tanker.

Vanndale also responded with a tanker, according to WFD.

Firefighters battled the blaze for approximately four hours.

A deputy from the Cross County Sheriff’s Office drove by the home while patrolling and woke the residents, alerting them to the fire.
