Former head of Pink Palace suing City of Memphis for age discrimination

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The former head of the Pink Palace is now suing the City of Memphis for age discrimination.

Stephen Pike claims he was fired last year because of his age.

Pike was 71 at the time.

The City of Memphis, Christian Brothers University and Memphis Museums are all named in the lawsuit.

The City hired Pike as Director of Museums in 2002.

The defendants have not yet filed a response to the lawsuit.
