Good Samaritan shot at while helping stranded driver, police say

Memphis, Tenn. — A man who pulled over to offer help ended up calling for help himself after Memphis Police say someone shot at him on the interstate.

According to MPD, a man stopped to help a stranded motorist on I-55 near South Parkway.

While offering help on the side of the interstate, someone drove by and shot at him, police said.

When police made the scene, they did report finding a man shot in the wooded area next to the interstate.

That man was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.

No suspect information was given at the time of this report.
