Hardeman County Schools releases re-entry plan

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — Hardeman County Schools has released a re-entry plan for students’ return to school next month.

The district will use a modified schedule from August 7-14, according to the plan.

The modified schedule will give students extra time meet their teachers, discuss safety measures, learn new protocols and answer questions students may have about the return to school.

Each school in the district will have its own staggered schedule during that week.

All students are scheduled to return to school August 17.

Parents who do not wish to send their child back to school will have the option of free virtual learning.

Temperature checks will be taken, according to the plan.

If a student has an elevated temperature, they will be sent home or placed in an isolated area.

Hand sanitizer will be available in schools.

Students and staff will have the option to wear face coverings and masks.

Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle, according to the plan.

Water filling stations will be available.
