MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Alpha Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is raising funds for the March of Dimes - March for Babies.
Members have joined other teams across the country to support March for Babies, according to a press release from the Alpha Delta Lambda Chapter.
The group is encouraging others to join the fundraising effort.
Funds will help support research that targets preventions and solutions for babies born prematurely or with birth defects; educate woman and families on prenatal matters to increase their chances of delivering health babies; provide assistance to families with newborns admitted to neonatal ICUs and promote newborn health screenings and adequate health insurance for pregnant women and children.
As of July, over $17,000 has been donated to March for Babies by the Alpha Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., according to the press release.
The group’s goal is to raise $20,000 by August 15.
