Man arrested in shooting at Southaven apartment complex

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — A man has been arrested following a shooting at a Southaven apartment complex.

According to Southaven police, the shooting happened Thursday around 8:04 a.m. in the Shelby Apartments off Havensville Drive.

Officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police, the man was taken to Regional One in Memphis, where he is currently listed in critical condition after surgery.

Detectives identified Ricky Treymane Joiner of Clarksdale as a suspect.

Joiner was found near Shelby Drive and Mendenhall Road, where he was taken into custody by Memphis police.

He is being held at the Shelby County Jail.

He is awaiting extradition on charges of Attempted Murder, according to police.
