Two people dead after South Memphis shooting, police say

Memphis, Tenn. — Two people are dead after a Sunday evening shooting in South Memphis, according to Memphis Police.

Police said the gunfire erupted around 5:40 p.m. Sunday night just outside of grocery store on South Parkway.

By the time police made the scene, one man was dead.

Another man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No clues on a suspect were given, according to MPD.

Memphis Police ask anyone with information about this shooting or the person responsible to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.

Police shut down traffic in the area around the scene on South Parkway for an investigation.
