Memphis, Tenn. — MATA is set to resume some of its services this Sunday.
After days of ice and snow storms brutalized Memphis roads, MATA was forced to suspend its routes on Wednesday.
Now that the roads are beginning to clear, MATA announced that it’s beginning to resume some of its services.
MATA said that only the Riverfront trolley line will operate on Sunday though and that the Main Street and Madison Trolley lines will not operate at this time.
Fixed-Route bus service will run between 5:15 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., but only routes 1, 11, 28, 32, 39, 42, 50 and 57 will be active, MATA said.
MATAplus will operate between 5 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., but only for life-sustaining trips, including trips to dialysis, for customers who have reservations.
Also, the William Hudson, Airways and American Way Transit Centers will remain open during service times only between 5:15 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. The water fountains will not be accessible though, due to MLGW’s boil water advisory.
