Memphis police release photos of suspect in gas station theft, vandalism

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are searching for a suspect involved in the vandalism of two vehicles on the 4th of July.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. at a Valero at 951 S. Parkway E., according to police.

A man entered the store and picked out food items before leaving the store without paying.

Before leaving, the suspect vandalized two vehicles parked in the store’s lot.

The vandalism caused over $1,000 worth of damage, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 year old, wearing a navy blue and maroon Cleveland Cavaliers hat.

He had on a gray T-shirt, black shorts with “14″ on the right leg and black shoes, according to police.

The suspect was in a white Cadillac CTS with no front or rear bumper.
